Course Outline:

This one day class will help you prepare for the day your system may have a water quality emergency.

This class identifies the importance of SOPs, proper steps to take to minimize mistakes, the important information decision makers need to have and who to contact for help.

We will look into the best options and SOPs to help you recover from a water quality emergency, preventive maintenance of the distribution system and testing that should be completed.

We will also discuss the upcoming changes to the Lead and Copper Rule before selecting the best method of minimizing the effects of corrosion.

We will finish up the training with some information on line locating. Locates are done in every system.  Learn the science behind the locator and how to use that science to your benefit.  This two-part class will first discuss the locator and some tricks of the trade that may assist you in those difficult locates.

The second part will be a hands-on demonstration locating pipes in the system. Please bring your locating equipment.

Outside hands-on time may be limited due to the location of training and weather.
