This training will be at the Gooding County Planning and Zoning.
Join John Schwartz from USA BlueBook.
This one day class will help you prepare for the day your water system may have a Water Quality Emergency.
This class identifies the importance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during emergency response. You will learn the proper steps to take to minimize damage to your utility and what information your decision-makers will need from you. Perhaps most importantly, you will learn who to contact for help.
We will look into the best options and SOPs to help you recover from a Water Quality Emergency. You will learn how to engage in preventive maintenance to reduce risk during contamination events.
We will finish up the day’s training with some information on line locating. Locates are done in every system. Learn the science behind the locator and how to use that science to your benefit. You will learn some tricks of the trade that may assist you on those difficult locates.
Please bring your locating equipment, and if we have time we will engage in hands-on locating outside.
Outside hands-on time may be limited due to the location of the training and weather.
