PUMPING – POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT in MCCALL 0.6 DW/WW CEUS
This training will be at the McCall Best Western.
Join John Schwartz from USA BlueBook, Ryan Spanton from Goble Sampson, and Steve Truitt, PE from Penn Valley Pump.
Every system works with pumps.
This one-day class will provide a review of pump classifications for water and wastewater including centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps and many more. We’ll review how to best select a new pump and how to read pump curves.
In this class we will include knowledge of essential parts, maintenance, and troubleshooting on several types of pumps used in the water and wastewater systems.
Whether your preference is diaphragm or peristaltic, learn about operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of these pumps in water and wastewater treatment. You will also be able to determine which pumps will work best in your application and which pumps to avoid. Also, we will discuss calculating doses and setting the controls of the equipment.
We will also learn about piston, diaphragm, and peristaltic pumps, and others. Learn what you need to know about high head and low flow applications. It is difficult to beat positive displacement pumps, but there are drawbacks also. We’ll cover the applications and proper usage of these mighty pumps.
Presenter, Steve Truitt is well versed in all areas of pumps and pump sales from his 30 years in the water and wastewater market. Steve will bring a cut away version of a PVP for everyone to have hands on interaction and see firsthand operation and maintenance of this type of pump.
