This training will be at Gooding County Planning and Zoning.

Join John Schwartz from USA BlueBook and Ryan Spanton from Goble Sampson.

Course Outline:

Every system works with pumps! What do you need to know about yours?

This one-day class will identify pump classifications for water and wastewater utilities, including centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, peristaltic, diaphragm, piston, and many more.  We will review how to best select a new pump, and you will learn how to read a pump curve and interpret the data.

You will learn which pumps will work best in your system and which pumps to avoid.  We will also discuss calculating doses given your pump specifications and how to set the controls of your equipment.  Learn what you need to know about high head and low flow applications.  In this class you will learn the essential parts of pumps and how to perform maintenance and troubleshooting on several common models.
