NEWS POSTED 09/27/2017 – SET UP AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR CIRCUIT RIDER TO ENSURE A VISIT

September 27, 2017

Dear Wastewater and Drinking Water Operations Specialists:

This is an important message regarding the assistance you may have been receiving from IRWA field staff. Many of you are used to seeing your wastewater and drinking water Circuit Riders stop by your shop. IRWA has heard some Operations Specialists express frustration that they don’t see their Circuit Riders as frequently as they used to.

Unfortunately, IRWA has fewer full-time field staff than it has in past years. Due to federal funding cuts we are down to 2 Wastewater Circuit Riders and 2 Drinking Water Circuit Riders. This means that our staff is spread thin between the Nevada and Canada borders trying to assist Idaho’s systems – nearly 83,000 square miles.

The best way to ensure you receive a visit from a Circuit Rider is to set up an appointment with them!

If you need help with a specific issue, our staff is always willing to speak with you over the phone. If the issue requires a visit in person, please don’t hesitate to give one of the field staff a call and set up an appointment. If our staff knows you need help they will be sure to visit you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We are here to serve Idaho’s communities!
